This is the only poem from my current collection that actually has a creative title, ha. I wrote it early in the morning on Tuesday, May 7, between shifts. It’s much shorter and has more structure than the others, but it speaks volumes. I think the title sums it up just fine.

Poem four.
This one was written last Monday night, May 6. It actually kept me up too late on a work night, but hey – God is good, and I wanted to write it down! Ha. So, here we are. It’s a bit of a manifesto in a way, though I want to write something geared more towards that specifically. But, this is very much a testament to God working His miracle in my life.

This one… this one was a little unexpected. This piece also came on a Saturday night after church and dinner, Saturday April 13. The initial concept and image popped into my head, but after I sat and wrote it all out, it ended differently and took a different tone than I initially thought. For a while after that, I didn’t see it as “powerful” or “intense” as my others, particularly poem two. But then God showed me in a very real way just how much truth these words hold, and now I am so grateful and honored that He is using me to share such a powerful truth.

This one is definitely very raw and real. It came on a Saturday night late, March 23, after church and dinner. It speaks to a very specific struggle, a very intense and dark struggle that I held onto for far too long. The events leading up to this poem and this lesson… I can only point to God in His infinite love and wisdom for orchestrating everything so perfectly.

I love to write, and I enjoy writing poetry. So, in light of recent events and the fact that the light is starting to shine more and more into the darkest parts of my life… I figured I would share some of my poetry, particularly from this recent season.
